At Meadow View Farm School, we recognise that some children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs benefit from time away from school during term time as part of a wider strategy to support their wellbeing and development. In exceptional circumstances, and where it is clearly in the best interests of the child, we support carefully planned holidays during term time. These decisions are made in close consultation with families and professionals, ensuring that any time away is purposeful, contributes positively to the child’s emotional regulation, attachment, or sensory needs, and does not disrupt their educational progress. Our flexible, child-centred approach prioritises each pupil’s individual needs to promote long-term engagement and success in learning.
