Clubs
At Meadow View Farm School, Friday mornings are dedicated to enrichment and connection through our Friday Club sessions. During this time, one class attends off-site horse riding, supporting physical development, confidence, and emotional regulation through therapeutic equine experiences. Meanwhile, the remaining pupils take part in a wide range of interest-based clubs, which offer the opportunity to mix with peers from across the school. These clubs are designed to nurture curiosity, build friendships, and promote choice and independence. Current offerings include dance, dinosaurs, farm care, cooking, and science—but our clubs are always evolving to reflect the passions and strengths of our pupils. This weekly session is a much-loved part of the school week, giving children the freedom to explore, collaborate, and enjoy learning in new and exciting ways.
An example of some of the clubs on offer this year include:
Computer Club
The Computer Club at Meadow View Farm School supports and enriches our whole-school Computing curriculum, which is carefully designed around three key strands: Digital Wellbeing, IT, and Computer Science. In club sessions, pupils have the chance to practise and extend these skills in a fun, creative way. This half-term, children enjoyed making digital self-portraits using Purple Mash, as well as developing problem-solving abilities through Cool Maths Games. The club nurtures confidence with technology, reinforces safe and responsible use of computers, and helps our pupils to apply what they learn in class to real-life digital activities — all within our nurturing, inclusive environment.
Cooking Club
Cooking Club at Meadow View Farm School offers pupils a practical, hands-on way to explore foods and traditions from different cultures and festivals, supporting our wider curriculum and life skills learning. This year, the children made delicious ‘challah’ bread to learn about foods linked to the Jewish festival of Shavuot. The children followed each step carefully to prepare and plait their dough, then showed great responsibility by cleaning their utensils and helping each other tidy up while waiting for the bread to bake. Cooking Club encourages independence, teamwork, and an appreciation for food and cultural diversity, all within our supportive and nurturing school community.
Sport Coaching/Sports Club
Sports Club at Meadow View Farm School is an energetic and inclusive space where pupils can develop physical skills, resilience, and a love for movement. Led by our brilliant sports coach, Spencer, the sessions are fun, supportive, and tailored to the needs and interests of the children. Spencer brings energy, enthusiasm, and a deep understanding of how physical activity supports emotional regulation and wellbeing. Whether playing team games, learning new skills, or simply enjoying being active together, pupils build confidence, teamwork, and self-esteem. Sports Club is a highlight of the week for many children, offering a safe space to thrive physically and socially within our wider enrichment curriculum.
Reading Club
Reading Club at Meadow View Farm School provides a calm and engaging opportunity for pupils to develop a love of reading, supporting our curriculum focus on literacy and language skills. This half term, the children have enjoyed spending time outside, finding quiet spots around the school grounds to become absorbed in their chosen books. They have been enthusiastic about sharing what they’ve read and discussing storylines with each other, deepening their comprehension and confidence. Reading Club fosters a positive reading culture, encouraging pupils to see books as a source of enjoyment and imagination, all within our nurturing and supportive environment.
